Obituary for Neva Lee Johnson

Anchor Point resident, Mrs. Neva Lee (McCoy) Johnson, 89, died Monday, June 3, 2019 at South Peninsula Hospital in Homer.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at The Anchor Point Baptist Church, 34085 Sterling Hwy – Anchor Point, AK 99556.
Neva was born April 5, 1930 in Embree, Missouri. She graduated from High School in Plato, MO and went to Secretarial School in Springfield, MO. She lived in KCKS for 32 years then in Leavenworth, KS for several years. In 2004 she moved to Anchor Point and attended the Anchor Point Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, church work, spending time with family and friends.
The family wrote, “She has always been a shining example of God's love with a ready smile, a generous, giving spirit, open arms for hugs, a quick wit and words of encouragement. We are all incredibly blessed to have had her in our lives."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Ernest and Ivy Jane (McGuire) McCoy and 6 siblings.
She is survived by her husband Marvin Johnson of Anchor Point; daughter, Teresa Johnson of Homer; son, Bryce Johnson and his wife Mary of Homer; granddaughters, Breanne Johnson of Leavenworth, KS, Abigail Ensign of Homer, and Sofia Ramirez Clark of Homer, Paola Bueso Clark and husband Anibal of Honduras; grandsons, Heath Johnson of Homer and Brent Ensign of Anchor Point and Rodolfo Bueso Clark of Honduras; great granddaughters, Ayla Peterson of Leavenworth KS, Isabella Ehrler and Arianna Ehrler of Honduras; great grandson Kayden Paul Keller of Leavenworth, KS; sister Vivian King of Dixon, MO and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
