Obituary for Manuel Wayne Prentice

Longtime Alaskan and Kenai resident, Mr. Manuel “Wayne” Prentice, 84, died peacefully from heart failure with his wife by his side on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018 at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna.

No services will be planned at this time.

Wayne was born August 1, 1934 in Bokchito, Oklahoma. He was a paratrooper in the Korean Conflict. Wayne moved to Alaska after being discharged from the military in 1956. He lived in Anchorage from 1956 to 1975.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon Prentice of Kenai; daughters, Joanne (Marshall) of Tacoma, WA, Kelly (Alan) of Prescott, Arizona, and Peggy (Mark) of Eufala, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
