Obituary for Lisa Ann Jackson

Lifelong Alaskan resident, Lisa Ann Jackson, passed away on December 10, 2018 at the age of 45 in Sand Point, Alaska. She was born on February 9, 1973 in Kodiak, Alaska to Marvin and Walda Hoff. Lisa was a graduate of King Cove High class of 1991, and in her lifetime, she established residences in Kodiak, False Pass, King Cove, and finally Sand Point. Lisa was an Environmental Coordinator with Pauloff Harbor Tribe, and her hobbies included spending time with her family, genealogy, and subsistence activities like berry picking and jelly making.

She was very loving, compassionate, and supportive. She welcomed everyone with open arms, always ready to learn or share a laugh. She had a way of bringing people together. She loved to brighten someone’s day and share stories. Lisa was a strong woman who fought for was right, specially for her children. Lisa loved and adored her husband and was proud of his hard work in the commercial fishing industry.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Walda and Marvin Hoff, Sr., and siblings Marvin Love, Jr. and Marvin “Jay-R” Hoff, Jr. She is survived by her father Marvin Love, Sr. of Brownsville, TN; husband George Jackson, Jr.; children: Pearl Jackson, Jewel Jackson, Coral Jackson, Ashlyn Jackson, and George Jackson, III; siblings: David Love, Keith Abraham, Sr., and Randy Abraham; step-daughter Karis and husband Sergio Porcincula; and grandchildren: Sheadon, Tatiana, and Raelyn Porcincula. Services to be announced at a later date.
