Obituary for Clarence R. "Stub" Morrison

Longtime Soldotna resident Clarence R. “Stub” Morrison, Jr. ,94, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna.
At his request, no services are planned.
Stub was born June 19, 1925 in Albany, Oregon. He graduated from high school and attended Oregon State University for 2 years in Corvallis, Ore. He served in the Sea Bee’s from 1942-1945.
Stub moved to Alaska in 1967 and lived in Soldotna. There, he worked for State Mechanical. He was also a member of the Northwest Sheet Metal Worker’s Union, and he worked numerous jobs all over the state. He also owned Stub’s Office Supply in Soldotna. He retired in the 1990s from the Union.
Stub was a member of the C.A.P. in Kenai. He enjoyed playing his accordions and spending time with his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his son, Harold Roy Morrison in 1975.
Stub is survived by his wife, Viola G. Morrison of Soldotna; daughters, Paula M. Morrison of Soldotna, Julia A. “Judy” Consiel and husband, John, of Kasilof; and grandsons, Jerry A. Consiel of Portland, Ore., and Travis R. Morrison of Houston, Texas.
Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
