Michael Elizondo Funeral Director / Embalmer / Monument Consultant michael@alaskanfuneral.com

I was born and raised in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. For many years I resided in San Antonio, TX. which I will always consider home. I am a graduate of Martin High School in Laredo, TX. (Once a Tiger, always a Tiger!), and completed my studies in Mortuary Science at the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services in Houston, TX., where not only did I graduate with High Honors, but also made it into the Dean’s List. I moved to Alaska in May of 2017 after many years of service in San Antonio, and shortly thereafter become a part of the Alaskan Funerals family. Aside from rendering my services as a Funeral Director in both English and Spanish, I also serve as the funeral home’s monument consultant, and am a proud member of the Benton Bay Athletic Lions Club. I currently reside in Anchorage with my better half Angela, our children Rosalie and Lukas, as well as my beloved dog Ozzy. When not in the funeral home, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing my signature Gene Simmons Axe Bass, listening to classic rock, comic books, classic monster movies, and enjoying the many wonders of this crazy beautiful state.
