~ Veterans Benefits ~

There is nothing that pays tribute to our deceased veterans more than military honors for those who proudly served our country. Military Honors include a rifle salute, flag presentation and the playing of taps following the funeral or memorial services. We can arrange for your family a respectful and fitting tribute to honor your loved one.

For those Alaska residents who are eligible, there are two National Cemeteries: Fort Richardson National Cemetery located in Fort Richardson, Alaska and Sitka National Cemetery in Sitka, Alaska. Any of our locations can assist in making arrangements for services and interment in this or any other national cemetery. A simple application for burial and the veterans DD214 discharge papers are required. To assist families who have not pre-applied, we have the necessary application for eligibility. Additional benefits from the veterans cemetery include:

Burial plot for the veteran and spouse
Grave marker
Use of the committal chapel
Military honors including a rifle salute

Those veterans who are not interred in the Fort Richardson National Cemetery are eligible for the following benefits. Other veterans may apply depending on their military status at time of discharge or retirement from the military:

Plot allowance (if not veterans cemetery)
Burial Benefit
Government marker
Military Honors
US Flag
Presidential Certificate
